Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Nat and I’m in my early 40’s with a gorgeous family of 4, with 2 young boys. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and recently sold my real estate business after over a decade of enjoying the highs and lows of building your own business. It was time to make more time for family and find the next challenge. Now I am on my third career and navigating the world in a brand new industry. I have a passion for baking and feel Italy is my soul country.
What’s important to you in life?
Spending time with my boys and my husband. Having fun. Thinking outside the box and planning ahead for the future.
What are some achievements you’re proud of?
Making many changes in my life that involved a lot of gut instinct and faith in myself. Making the commitment to create my own work so that I could be home with our young children when they were babies and starting school. Growing a business from scratch and all that entails when you are also having children.
How has working with a coach helped you face your challenges?
When we made the decision to sell our business, it was one that I felt was the right decision however I had no idea what I was going to do next. It was so close to my identity. Working with Julie helped me identify what I wanted in my next stage of life, what was important and those goals helped me stay focused when I started to doubt my worth after selling the business.
How has coaching expanded your mindset?
Keeping goals front and centre when I am in a situation where I don’t know the answer. When I am feeling unsure, instead of sitting in that negative space, I pull those 3 goals out and I move out into a new way of thinking.
What qualities has coaching helped you discover (or rediscover) about yourself?
It has reminded me that I am open to reflection and development.
What do you do more of and less of now?
More thinking about my goals and checking in to see if what I am doing is in alignment to this. In doing this I stop my mind from wondering – which is a good thing. My mind wonders a little too much sometimes 🙂
What self-care practices do you engage in to support your best self?
I love to bake! I also took up swimming which I loved however life got in the way. Must get back to that!
How has your life improved as a result of the coaching journey?
It has helped me with the adjustment from self-employed to being okay with where I am now. That there is more but the space I am in now is where I am meant to be and has opened up some freedom in my thoughts.
What would you say to someone wanting to get the most out of the coaching experience?
Go all in!
What quote inspires you to be your best self?
“What is life without celebration!”
What coaching tool has made the biggest difference to your life?
A Vision Board – love them. It was so good to be reminded of this valuable tool.
