Game Changer Mindsets

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Hi, I’m Yen. People around me describe myself as a kind, bubbly individual that loves to share my energy with the people and things I care about most. Personally, I am a creative and craft enthusiast who loves good hospitality, conversation and creating moments for those around me that feel fun, warm and memorable. I love to keep busy with my husband running a small events business on the weekends for fun as our creative outlet. We have two cats, Leo and Lola who are our daily source of chaos and entertainment. Professionally, I am a property and design professional with a deep care in people, spaces and experience particularly in the workplace.

What’s important to you in life?

Kindness and care for those around me, staying creative and sharing my creations for the better, finding the right challenges for growth and staying healthy.

What are some achievements you’re proud of?

I’m proud of learning to be more intentional and kinder to myself, especially in how I choose to spend my time and who I share my energy with. I’ve become much better at prioritising what fills my cup and letting go of what doesn’t. There’s always room to grow, but I’m genuinely proud of the progress I’ve made and the way I now honour what matters most.

How has working with a coach helped you face your challenges?

Working with Julie as a lifestyle and mindset coach has helped me face challenges with far more resilience, clarity and confidence. Professionally, I’ve learned to trust my instincts, back myself creatively and navigate my dynamic portfolio career with greater adaptability. Setting clear goals and having a safe space to be vulnerable and share them — has been a big part of that growth. Julie has been a steady, consistent presence throughout this journey, and personally over the past year I’ve seen meaningful shifts in my mindset, decision‑making and overall sense of direction.

How has coaching expanded your mindset?

Coaching has expanded my mindset by helping me slow down and become more aware of how I think, not just how I act. Julie has encouraged deeper reflection, greater clarity and more intentional decision‑making, all of which have helped me align my everyday choices with my bigger‑picture goals.

What qualities has coaching helped you discover (or rediscover) about yourself?

Coaching has helped me rediscover my ability to design a life around what truly matters to me. I’ve learned to make choices that align with my values, rather than simply doing more without clarity or direction. With each session, I feel a sense of growth. It’s become something I look forward to each week.

What do you do more of and less of now?

I do more of trusting myself, slowing down, and choosing what genuinely supports my well-being, from self‑care and creativity to deepening relationships in a more meaningful way. I’ve become far more aware of what drains my energy, so I commit less to things that don’t align, and more to the people and practices that help me feel grounded and fulfilled.

What self-care practices do you engage in to support your best self?

I make intentional time for reflection, rest and movement, the three things that keep me centred, creative and curious. Whether it’s slowing down to check in with myself, carving out space to recharge, or moving my body to reset my energy, these practices help me show up as my best self in work and life.

How has your life improved as a result of the coaching journey?

Life feels calmer, more intentional, and more aligned with the people and things that truly matter. I’ve shifted from being reactive to being proactive with my energy, and that change has had a ripple effect, not just for me, but for the people around me. The clarity and grounding I’ve gained through coaching with Julie has become something others notice, and many now come to me for guidance on how to navigate similar challenges. I always share my experience with Julie because her approach has genuinely helped me build a mindset and lifestyle that feels clearer, calmer and more empowered than before.

What would you say to someone wanting to get the most out of the coaching experience?

Be curious, open and honest with yourself. In my experience with Julie, mindset and lifestyle coaching works best when you show up willing to grow and willing to be real. Consistency matters, there are days when I’m not even sure where to begin, but by the end of each session something meaningful always surfaces. Julie’s reflective questions have a gentle, authentic way of uncovering what you may not realise is holding you back, helping you move forward with more clarity, confidence and intention.
